21 ♣ BLAURGH!!!
Jan. 24th, 2023 06:35 pm i'm not gonna open this up with "hi everyone long time no see because"... duh. it seems like the nature of my updates are just sporadic like that. u_u not gunna hold any hard feelings about it~
i'm going back to school soon (feb 8th) so that's exciting! hoping to meet some new faces and greet familiar ones; they're merging a lot of the ex-second years (we had, like, 14 second year classes) into fewer third year classes, so i'm kind of expecting to get moved around a bit. which is good! i haven't really made many friends at my old class; and i'm always excited to meet new people, so.
i've moved on now toooo.. over halfway of persona 4 golden! it's a really, really fun little game. :D it's certainly a lot more lighthearted than the other entries in its series; some find that to be to it's detriment, but i found myself enjoying the lazy-at-times slice of life segments of it (even if my girlfriend doesn't as much)!!
(my eyes hurt, i need to turn on my lights. hang on. it's 6 pm in the middle of fucking summer; why are my eyes so easily strained @_@)
given, the writing is... painful at times. >_> (iyk, yk. i'm not going into detail in here) i'm kind of scared of what's going to happen to nanako! i certainly think the decision to scrap yosuke's romance route is really funny. they'll have him saying the gayest shit imaginable, looking at the protagonist and going "you're really special to me, partner." after his previous social link was him bawling his eyes out over his late crush to souji, and then proceed to have a whole 3 hours of gameplay dedicated entirely to him being extremely homophobic and nearly caricature-worthy straight. the writing is so, so fueled by misogyny and homophobia (and transmisogyny; and fatphobia; and so on) that it hilariously integer overflows back to being nearly extremely gay and trans (w00t, naoto).
on that subject, iiiiiiii'm identifying as bisexual now! i do, unfortunately (NOT!) like guys sometimes. still subject to change; i'm in a nln/nlw relationship and i don't plan on changing that in the foreseeable future; but, like.. it is completely viable that i May Someday Somehow have a crush on a guy. so the important part here is not that i am reeling to fuck a guy irl or whatever, but just the fact that i am not Immediately discarding the possibility of me wanting to kiss a cute boy eventually.
